Lisieux CMI Public School is managed by CMI Fathers of Preshitha Province, Coimbatore. The Carmelites of Mary Immaculate Society, of which CMI Fathers are members, is engaged in educational, social and other forms of service to humanity. The school believes that each child is unique and special and is blessed with immense potential. The endeavor is to guide each child as he/she charters a route to happiness and excellence. The school makes a concerted effort to ensure that as the students set out on this exciting voyage of discovery, they enjoy every moment of their innocence and appreciate the power of inner strength.

The name ‘Lisieux’ indicates the birthplace of the parton saint of the institution – St. Therese of Child Jesus or the Little Flower. Every child who passes through the portals of this temple of learning is expected to have the Divine Wisdom within en-kindled and hence inspired to live in harmony!

Excellence in Education

The concept of excellence can be hard to define. Quite often we know it when we see it, but have trouble articulating how it can be achieved. As a parent, it is important to be able to define and recognise excellence when you are choosing a school for your child. Here are some key things to to choose Lisieux CMI Public School.

To demonstrate excellence, you need to be specific about what you are aiming for in a practical and tangible sense. In schools, we can define excellence against a set of values and outcomes that students strive to achieve. These are constructs that make the research results meaningful.

Student Centered

To be truly effective, a principal create a system of core values that the entire faculties shares. A common theme to each of the core values is a student-centered view of education. When a decision is made in the school, the first thought should always be: “What’s best for the students?” When everyone shares this belief, infighting will lessen and the school can focus on the business of teaching.

School provides new teachers with a mentor whether the incoming educator is fresh out of college or coming from another school district. Mentors can help new teachers understand the culture of the school and navigate its bureaucracy in areas such as field trip procedures and purchasing classroom supplies.

Teamwork

Teamwork in a classroom teaches students the fundamental skills associated with working as a collective unit toward a common goal. This type of teamwork introduces a variety of skills that will be valuable for students later in the workforce, such as communication, compromise and collective effort. In any type of group work, students must agree about who will handle various components of a project and work in tandem using one another’s strengths to accomplish assigned tasks. This teaches time management, resource allocation and communication skills.
